Introduction

In 2002, I started fiddling with bicycle lighting once again. We were doing a bit more bicycle riding and we preferred the summer evenings as being less crowded and cooler.

It was the same old saga of dim lights, blown globes, batteries suddenly going flat, etc. As chance would have it, I came across Tony Father's Bicycle Lighting Page and decided to build something base acommenced building a new This Despite having toured by bicycle for a few decades and having a general interest in bicycle trailers, i.e. trailers to tow behind a bicycle, I had not taken this any further.

In 2002, I started a welding course at Campbelltown TAFE with a view to increasing my welding skills and a further interest in maybe doing something with bicycles.

I have seen one-wheeled bicycle trailers in the past, but never really taken any specific interest in them until discussion on the Touring List took place in 2002. After asking around, particularly on the Frame Builders List, I decided to try building one.

Basically, all I had to go on for plans was a few WWW links, so after a few sketches, a look through the junk pile, a look around the streets and some further sketching, I started measuring and cutting.

You can see the results in the photographs and some general comments are in notes.
